ABOUT
The explorers of the zodiac, Sagittarians are always on a quest for more. Whether it be more knowledge or better realization of self, they fearlessly seek out the unknown. Represented by the archer — also know as the centaur from Greek mythology — Sagittarians are wildly independent and never miss their mark. Rumored to have the gift of prophecy, they always accomplish what they set their sights on.
Ruled by Jupiter, the planet of plenty, Sagittarians are masters of manifestation. Their optimism is highly contagious and is only matched by their great sense of humor. The world is their theme park and they’re always down for a wild ride.
Smooth and sweet with just the right amount of heat. This cocktail perfectly sums up your favorite Sagittarius. Balancing your favorite summer flavors with a fall twist, this drink is both familiar and something new.
The base spirit for this cocktail is Grand Marnier — the Cognac-based orange liqueur. Full of warm vanilla notes and toffee-like flavors, there’s no doubt why this liqueur is adored in so many of your favorite cocktails.
While the Grand Marnier is complemented by the cinnamon brown sugar pineapple syrup and muddle mango, the real star is the morita pepper. One of the two types of chipotle peppers, moritas are smoked, red-ripe jalapeño peppers. Since they are smoked for less time, they retain their rich and fruity flavor. With a Scoville Heat Units range of 2,500 to 8,000, morita peppers have the right amount of heat and smoke making them very pleasant.
This drink is served in a coupe or martini glass. A morita pepper is an optional garnish.
