Paper Plane
ABOUT
Take your knowledge of cocktails to new heights with this modern spin on a pre-Prohibition classic.
The Paper Plane was invented in 2007 by New York City bartender Sam Ross as a modern variation on the Last Word. Similar to the Last Word, the Paper Plane achieves the perfect balance of sour, bitter and herbal. It is also rumored that the cocktail is named after M.I.A.’s hit song Paper Planes.
The base spirit for this cocktail is Maker’s Mark bourbon whisky. Aperol, Amaro Nonino Quintessentia and fresh lemon juice contribute to the cocktail’s bitter, herbal and sour notes respectively.
This cocktail is best served up in a coupe glass.
