When life gives you lemons, make limoncello. And then make a cocktail with it.
We’ve begun to experiment more and more with homemade infusions and decided to try our hand at a limoncello recipe. It’s much simpler than you can imagine and includes fresh lemons, vodka or another neutral spirit, and simple syrup. You can check out the recipe we used here.
While limoncello can be enjoyed chilled or on the rocks, we wanted to have some fun and create a cocktail. We decided it would be best to keep it simple so that the other ingredients would not overpower the limoncello. We stuck with the same ingredients we used to create it: lemons and vodka.
This drink is served in a coupe glass. A lemon twist garnish is optional.

INGREDIENTS
2 oz. limoncello
3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
3/4 oz. vodka
INSTRUCTIONS
Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker
Add ice and shake for 20 seconds or until shaker is frosty on the outside
Strain into a cocktail or coupe glass
Serve
