Praline Prince

ABOUT

Thanksgiving dinner is not complete without dessert! No matter how much turkey or stuffing you’ve had, there’s alway room for dessert. This after dinner cocktail can be served along with Geo’s Bourbon Banana Pudding or Instant Pot Bourbon Chocolate Cheesecake. Or can satisfy your sweet tooth on its own.

The inspiration for my Praline Prince is Pear’s Gourmet Coconut Praline Pecans. The combination of butter, sugar, coconut, and pecans creates a treat so decadent that you’ll want to devour the entire bag in one sitting. I just knew that we had to recreate this as a cocktail.

The first step in brining this creation to life was to concoct the perfect syrup that would embody the sweetness of both the coconut and pecan flavors. You can check out the recipe for our Coconut Praline Syrup here. Next up, I chose a spirit that would not only compliment, but add depth to the cocktail. I chose Uncle Nearest 1856 Premium Whiskey. With its overall rich sweetness and pleasant notes of vanilla, caramel, nutmeg, and hints of other baking spices, Uncle Nearest was the perfect fit.

Lastly, to maintain the cocktail’s richness and body, I made the decision to use condensed milk as the cream. Condensed milk not only ensures that you drinks remains smooth and creamy, but it also adds an additional layer of sweetness. This trio of ingredients makes the perfect decadent treat.

This drink is served in a coupe or cocktail glass. You can garnish the drink with ground cinnamon.
