Red Wine Syrup

ABOUT

For months I’ve been experimenting with this red wine syrup and I finally perfected it. This two ingredient recipe is the perfect example of why simple is better.

The base of this syrup is a Pinot Noir wine. As a dry, light bodied wine, Pinot Noir typically has less tannins that other red wines. This makes it both smooth and easy to drink. It also makes it perfect as the base for our syrup. With hints of vanilla, chocolate and oak, it only made since to use dark brown sugar as the sweetener for this syrup.

Together, they create a silky smooth syrup perfect in any cocktail.

  • 1 part Pinot Noir

  • 1/2 part brown sugar
